Ben Beighton

Ben lives in London where he is in his first year of a three-year degree course in Business Management, at Queen Marys University. His school days were spent in Rugby firstly at the Crescent School then Rugby School. He always managed to avoid boarding, and continued to enjoy his creature comforts at home. Like all boys that are presented with the opportunity, Ben spent many hours enjoying quad biking, motorcycling and go-karting. In his teenage years his interest turned to cars with a special interest for race cars.

After completing his A-levels, Ben took a year out of education where he completed his ARDS course and during the winter of 2007 qualified in Val d’Isere as a ski instructor.

Driver Profile
Ben’s racing career started in the autumn of 2006 where, with the aide of Nigel Greensall’s tuition passed his ARDS test. Ben’s first race took place in the Fun Cup at Croft in April 2007 with his teammates Jon and Chris where he managed to, during the 2 x 3 hour endurance races, rearrange a number of panels on the car and other competitors cars who thankfully were sympathetic. During the season with further coaching from Nigel, Ben continued to improve finding himself by the end of the season capable of matching the most experienced racers pace. The highlight for Ben's season was the Funcup 25-hour Spa Endurance where he together with his co-drivers Chloe Noyce, Ollie Bryant and David came second of the UK entries and 20th overall from a 160 Fun Cup starters.  Ben says his ambitions in motorsport are to be faster than both his Dad and Jon and it’s always good not to look too far ahead.
